Chapter 485
Her frantic eyes darted to the balcony. Without hesitation, she sprinted toward it.
The sight below made her blood run cold. A massive swimming pool glittered under the harsh sunlight. If her memory served her right, the hotel’s pool was located on the third floor.
But she was trapped on the tenth.
A hysterical laugh bubbled up in Isabella’s throat. Dominic expects me to jump from here? From the tenth floor?! That’s not an escape—it’s a death sentence!
"Three!"
Her voice cracked as she screamed, "Dominic, my family was destroyed because of yours! We gave everything—my father worked for your family, took the fall for your crimes, and died for it! And this is how you repay me? This isn’t justice—it’s murder! I’ll never oppose you again, I swear! Just let me go!"
"Two!"
Dominic remained unmoved, his expression colder than stone. His silence was more terrifying than any threat.
In that moment, clarity struck her like a blade.
She had been a fool.
Begging for mercy from a monster like Dominic was pointless.
He had no heart. No conscience.
He was pure, unfiltered evil.
"One!"
Dominic's voice cut through the air like a whip.
At his signal, the snakes coiled and struck toward Isabella, their hisses sending chills down her spine.

Then—something snapped inside her.
Gritting her teeth, Isabella hauled herself onto the railing, her fingers white-knuckled against the metal.
"Dominic, even if I die tonight, I swear I’ll haunt you for the rest of your miserable life!"
Marriage? To him?
Was he so obsessed with forcing her into this nightmare that he’d rather watch her break than let her go?
Without another thought, she leaped.
The world blurred.
A deafening splash shattered the silence as her body hit the pool below.
The impact was brutal—bones jarred, lungs seized, pain exploding through her like shattering glass.
Blood filled her mouth, metallic and thick.
Above, the remaining guests screamed.
What in the world was going on?
Who was this woman?
How had she just plummeted from the sky like that?
Dominic barely spared a glance at the surveillance feed. Seeing Isabella’s reckless leap didn’t even make him blink.
His expression remained icy, voice dripping with disdain. "Pathetic. You didn’t even grasp why I was furious, yet you thought throwing yourself off a building would fix things."
He scoffed, shaking his head in disbelief.
Then, his cold gaze landed on the emerald bracelet resting on the table.
"Take it to her."
The bodyguard nodded sharply. After witnessing what happened to the last guy who messed up, he wasn’t about to repeat that mistake.
"Understood, Mr. Powell. I’ll deliver it to Ms. Morgan immediately."
At that moment, another guard spoke up cautiously. "Sir, Ms. Hart seems to be leaving. Should we intercept her?"
The room fell into a heavy silence for a few heartbeats.
Dominic’s eyes flicked back to the screen, where Vanessa was already on her feet, clearly preparing to walk out.
Dominic’s voice was hushed, carrying a softness she had never heard from him before.
A faint smile touched his lips. After a long pause, he murmured, "It's been years. What if my presence frightens her?"
The bodyguard’s eyes flickered downward, lingering on Dominic’s motionless legs.
The wheelchair sat as a silent reminder.
"But—"
Dominic cut him off with a wave of his hand, his fingers brushing over an elegantly wrapped gift box resting on the table.
"Give this to her instead."
