Chapter 461

Evelyn locked eyes with Dominic, his gaze burning with fury, and snapped in frustration, "You always find new ways to humiliate me!"

'Who else's child would it be?' She thought bitterly. 'Michael's? Or Adrian's?'

"If it's mine, why keep it from me?!" Dominic's accusation came from a place of deep-seated trauma, his mind flashing back to painful memories from five years ago.

This wasn't the first time she'd hidden a pregnancy from him. The deception cut deep, making him feel like a fool being manipulated in the dark.

"Aren't you exhausted by this, Dominic?" Evelyn studied his furious expression before continuing with weary desperation, "I know I am... So tired... No matter what happens, you always find reasons to blame me! What am I to you? What exactly do you think of me?"

Her finger jabbed at the elevator button.

Dominic glanced at the display - they'd only reached the third floor.

As the doors slid open, Evelyn stormed out.

Dominic followed close behind, his pulse racing. "Evelyn Thorne! What are you thinking?"

"I'm terminating this pregnancy!" Her eyes blazed with resentment as she shouted hoarsely, "I'm done! This child would only suffer if born! If that's its fate, why should I carry it?!"

Five years ago, Dominic had forced her into an abortion. Never had he imagined history would repeat itself like this.

Her words struck like a dagger to his heart, the pain so intense he could barely breathe.

Acting on pure instinct, he grabbed her arm.

"You will not abort our child!" His grip tightened as his eyes reddened. "You're keeping it! Even if it's deformed, you're having this baby!"

'Deformed? That's how he describes his own child?' Hot tears spilled down her cheeks as she screamed, "You're the monster here! You!"

When she couldn't free her arms, she kicked violently at his shins.

The maternity ward bustled around them - women here for abortions, others celebrating positive tests. While couples often argued about pregnancies, rarely did they see a woman demanding termination while the man fought to keep the baby.

As someone pulled out a phone to record, Dominic's bodyguard intervened.

Scooping Evelyn into his arms, Dominic marched back toward the elevator.

'She's too emotional. I need to get her away before she does something reckless,' he thought.

"Put me down! I can walk!" Her fists pounded his chest, but he held firm.

Once outside the hospital, he carried her toward the parking lot.

The bodyguard rushed ahead to open the car door.

Not wanting to make a scene, Evelyn buried her face against Dominic's chest. Once inside, she demanded coldly, "Take me home. My home."

Dominic slid in beside her and shut the door.

"Where to, Mr. Blackwood?" the bodyguard asked from the driver's seat.

"Her place," Dominic rasped.

With Evelyn pregnant, he couldn't risk further upsetting her - not when it might affect the baby.

As the car pulled away, Evelyn regained composure and retrieved her phone from her purse.

Dominic studied her flushed profile turned toward the window, swallowing hard. "Evelyn, I forbid you from terminating this pregnancy! Not without my consent. Don't even consider it!"
